Rob is a financial services executive and former Chief Operating Officer with a proven record of driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and organizational transformation across both start-up and Fortune 500 environments. Leveraging deep expertise in management strategy, process improvement, and business development, Rob has built and led high-performing teams, launched innovative platforms, and delivered exceptional value for stakeholders throughout his career. Prior to his role as Chief Growth Officer at Ankura Consulting Group, he was Vice Chairman & Chief Operating Officer at Encina Capital Partners, where he helped in the creation and scaling of four de novo private credit platforms. Under his operational and strategic leadership, Encina’s platforms - spanning private credit, lender finance, business credit, and equipment finance have provided more than $5 billion in commitments to over 200 customers since 2017. He was also responsible for a wide range of commercial, strategic, and operational functions, including investment committee and board participation, senior talent recruitment, succession planning, and executive coaching. Rob’s commercial acumen was instrumental in transforming Encina Business Credit (now Eclipse Business Capital) into the fastest-growing non-regulated asset-based lending platform in the U.S, culminating in its sale to MassMutual. He spearheaded the recruitment and management of top-tier talent, implemented insightful CRM solutions, and engineered sales incentive plans that drove significant growth in new business commitments, portfolio size, and profitability. Prior to Encina, Rob worked at GE Capital in several senior roles, including Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. He led the integration of multiple corporate finance units, managed the restructuring and specialty finance groups with over $15 billion in originations. Rob’s expertise extends to large-scale change management, Six Sigma process improvement, and organizational design. As a certified Six Sigma Quality Leader, he oversaw numerous performance improvement projects. He has also led major recruitment initiatives, including a post-recession surge that added 225 new hires across 10 platforms in under a year, and has successfully designed and executed business strategies that improved client coverage, streamlined IT infrastructure, and reduced operating costs. Rob holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BA in Economics from Fairfield University.
