About Robert Merrill

As the R&D Manager for KFC Global at Yum! Brands, I lead the technical projects for our core ingredients and brand standard products, ensuring the quality, consistency, and craveability of our fried chicken across markets. With more than 13 years of experience in food science and product innovation, I have a strong passion for creating and delivering delicious and nutritious food solutions for our customers. In my current role, I collaborate with our global business units, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to drive the ongoing maintenance, migration, and improvement of our core products. I also manage the product innovation pipeline for customer occasions, executing multiple product tests and launches. Additionally, I contribute to the global alignment and sharing of product and consumer trend know-how, as well as the nutrition improvement initiatives. I am proud to be part of the KFC Global F.I.T. team, where we strive to make our food irresistible and trustworthy for our customers.
