I have always been known as a problem solver; seeing the big picture and finding a way to improve a process or the environment. Currently, I work as a Production Coordinator at Hunter Douglas and continue to lead company improvements through optimising automatic processes and production workflow. Identifying the frustrating production bottlenecks and creating solutions to increase efficiency, output and employee work satisfaction is what I do best. In my 15+ year career in textiles, I have led technical and production teams, I have been an integral part of research and development and have been the coordinator of production and projects. Some of my career highlights are- Led the relocation of multiple production units across state borders, embedding and redesigning existing factory layouts and new layouts within constraints and budget, saving the company collectively per year- Collaborated with multi-departmental team on the introduction of a new product by being responsible for the development of the production processes and implementation. The product was launched 8 months post conception- Designed and built various semi-automatic machinery with return of investment of between 2 weeks to 12 months and increase KPI’s by up to 200%- Designed and engineered an Ultrasonic cutting system, which was new to the market in Australia, able to cut fabric 8 metres in length to attain a job for the company- Collaborated in the development of automatic production machines that has been implemented globally with 400% increase in production- Re-designed roller blind production to enhance production ergonomics, safety and workflow with production increase of 57%- Supported 55 direct reports through the redundancy process during the GFC, with majority of employees being re-employed within 3 months. As well as finding enjoyment in my work, my family is important to me, hence I am actively seeking a new job in the Western or Northern suburbs of Melbourne to see my kids become parents and spend time with the grandkids.
