About Robert Minshall

I am a 73 year old competitive bodybuilder. I started weight training 40 years ago after earning a 1st degree black belt studying Shorin-ryu karate for 10 years. It was then that I suffered a knee injury which forced me to embark on my journey as a bodybuilder. I finally had to have both of my knees replaced about 8 years ago but resumed my training as a bodybuilder right after the operations. I have been competing in local contests here in Louisville, KY for the past 6 years in the Masters Over 60 class. I retired from my full time job as the Director of Facility Operations at a local retirement community after 26 years of service in April of 2013. I have 4 certifications with ISSA, the first obtained 6 years ago as a Certified Fitness Trainer, the second one, 4 years ago as a Nutrition Specialist,the third one as a Certified Specialist in Exercise Therapy and the last one as a Certified Senior Fitness Specialist. I have been training clients at my home commercial gym here in the Louisville area. Placed 2nd in the Masters Over 60 Class at the 2013 KY Muscle. on 11/9/2013 at the Convention Ctr. Placed 2nd in the Masters Over 60 Class at the 2012 KY Derby Festival Bodybuilding Championships on 4/28/2012 at the Galt House. Placed 3rd in the Masters Over 60 Class at the 2011 KY Muscle. Placed 4th in the Masters Over 60 Class at the 2013 NPC KY Derby Festival Bodybuilding Championships Placed 5th in the Masters Over 60 Class at the 2012 2012 KY Muscle
