About Robert Mullin

My 10+ year history working with and advocating for individuals with developmental and other disabilities, has taught me to be thankful for the things in life most of us take for granted, like having a roof over our heads, the right to a quality education, and free will to pursue our dreams. I was lucky enough to be raised in a nurturing environment, with someone who encouraged me to always take forward strides, and because of my hard work, determination, and commitment never to settle for less, I’ve accomplished many things, and have been able to help people who are less fortunate. For more than 10 years I’ve been blessed to know some of the most wonderful people; many with developmental disabilities,addictions or homeless. It’s a wonderful feeling to know I’ve played an integral role in helping them improve their lives, and become independent members of the community. The human services field is so understaffed, with a great need for dedicated professionals. It’s also a part of life many people want to sweep under the rug or turn away from, resulting in the most vulnerable people in our society completely forgotten about. I realize this sounds cliché, but I wanted to make some difference. I hold a BS in Public Justice, an MS in Public Administration, and am working toward a PhD in Public Policy and Administration. I believe this proves I’m rather serious about this. Furthermore, I was in the US Air Force, Security Forces, so I already am very familiar with hard work and dedication!
