Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Enrolled Actuary, Chartered Financial Analyst and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Prior to joining the PBGC: Lead actuary, consultant and relationship manager for retirement plan actuarial and consulting engagement. Projects include risk management, plan design, compliance, administration, funding and accounting. Consult with large and medium sized clients in manufacturing, retail and healthcare industries, including clients whose employees participate in single, multiple and multiemployer plans. Consults on all aspects of retirement plan operations to ensure compliance with federal law and accounting standards, including the certification of minimum funding requirements under ERISA and the Internal Revenue code, determination of plan benefit liabilities, administration of final average pay, flat dollar and cash balance plans, actuarial information for form 4010 filings, allocation of plan assets under section 4044 related to plan spin-offs, annual funding notices, annual ASC715 add IAS 19 expense and disclosure. Central to the establishment of robust and transparent methodologies for developing actuarial assumptions and performance of detailed demographic assumption studies to support actuarial assumption selection.
