Robert L. Nutt, LICSW is a licensed clinical social worker with 30 years of clinical experience. He maintains a private practice at two locations South of Boston, MA. Mr. Nutt is a graduate of Boston College School of Social Work and completed a three-year postgraduate training program in couples and family therapy at the David Kantor Institute and the Family Center in Somerville Massachusetts. Mr. Nutt has worked in a variety of clinical settings over his career. In addition to his work as a clinician, he has provided supervision and consultation to fellow clinicians at several human service agencies, as well as to students in graduate programs. He has also held the position of Director of Training and Education at a large substance-abuse facility. Mr. Nutt works with individuals, couples and families who present with a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, behavior disorders, relationship concerns. He has a subspecialty of working with addictive disorder. He has extensive experience working with clients and their families in all stages of recovery from many addictive disorders. Specialties: Mr. Nutt draws upon a range of theoretical frameworks and treatment modalities. Much of his work is based in a collaborative approach while utilizing solution focused problem solving, cognitive behavioral techniques to facilitate healthy changes.
