Background
About Robert Otero
The achievement I am most proud of did not start with a dream or a business plan. It started with hard work and commitment. The last 11 years in the Military has taught me crucial skillsets that will prove valuable as I transition into the civilian workforce. I would like to transition into a facility management role understanding that with the same hard work and dedication I can achieve my end state of becoming a PMP certified project manager offering invaluable management and leadership skills to the company that I will devote that same hard work and commitment that drove me to serve in the military. Areas of expertise that I bring to the table Include: • Problem Solving • Adaptability • Time Management • Operations Management • Cross-Functional Team Leadership • Conceptual Planning • Self-Motivation • Critical Thinking • Organization and Efficiency • Administration • Ability to train large groups • Decision making • Warrior Leaders Course (200 Course Hours) • Graduating with Honors from Advanced Leaders Course (370 Course Hours) • Commanders Safety Course (8 Course Hours) • Sexual Harassment/Assault and Prevention – Nationally Certified (80 Course Hours) As a Facility Manager I work daily in conjunction with corporate level staff, managing day-to-day operations and maintenance for 250 residents assigned to government quarters. Having to build the organizations program from the ground up, utilizing concepts from other area managers in conjunction with my own practices I called upon my background in administration and management to develop a streamlined program. Additionally developing personnel, maintenance, inspection and inventory tracking utilizing Military project management software, creating a more efficient way to conduct business while reducing the waste of resources. Without doubt my work ethic, experience and overall skillset will drive me to achieve my goal of becoming a PMP certified project manager.
