About Robert Paul

I am the Chief Executive Officer at Nine Square Therapeutics, a biotech company that applies cutting-edge computational and experimental methods to discover and develop novel small-molecule therapeutics for life-threatening neurodegenerative diseases. With over 15 years of clinical and research experience in neuroscience and immunology, I have a passion for translating scientific insights into innovative treatments for patients with unmet medical needs. Prior to joining Nine Square Therapeutics, I was the Chief Medical Officer at Alector, a pioneer in immuno-neurology, where I led the clinical development of multiple molecules in frontotemporal dementia, Alzheimer's disease, ALS, and oncology. I also oversaw the clinical development of several drug candidates for Alzheimer's disease, PSP, ALS, and pain at Genentech, where I held a senior leadership role in the neurology department. In addition, I have extensive business consulting experience in the biopharma industry, having worked at BCG, a top tier firm. I hold an MD, a PhD in neuroscience, and I have published multiple papers in top tier medical and scientific journals.
