About Robert Pedersen

My main goal in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy has always been to do what you love and love what you do. Whether it was in academics or athletics I have always been driven to excel. Athletics originally got me interested in how the body works and my experience in PT clinics coupled with a desire to help people, showed me that Physical Therapy was the right profession for me. I enjoy working with others to collectively solve problems and reach a goal. I am a people person and have always seen myself in a work setting that helps people. From a job perspective I have learned from the jobs that I’ve had growing up, the importance of time management, being flexible to get things done in the proper time and being able to communicate with people in different situations. I have accumulated PT observation time as well as 2 years of PT aide experience in an outpatient clinic setting, which has given me a true sense of what it means to work in physical therapy. I am currently a Candidate for a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at MCPHS graduating in spring of 2024. My current interest is in the outpatient setting where my passion is working with a variety of different injuries helping people return to their functional capabilities and allowing them to take part in the activities they enjoy!
