Europe VP of Consulting and Professional Services for NTT. Consultants act early in the client buying cycle, leveraging their strategy and technical backgrounds to quantify and then leverage technology to solve our clients problems with a digital roadmap. Technology and software fills that roadmap and the professional services team deploys that technology and software into the clients complex environment in a way that mitigates operational risk and achieves the vison originally set out by the client and consulting. My career started decades ago in IT call centers, then in delivery roles, then management and now in strategic leadership. I steer the direction of the business to ensure we are aligning to key business problems and technology trends applying 3 policies: 1. There is no point in dealing with symptoms of problems all day - go upstream and figure out why the problems are occurring 2. Simplify - its easy to make business complicated. Find simplicity and make it easy for clients to understand what we do and for the team to deliver against that 3. Plan your change initiatives - being busy is easy if you are simply reacting to whatever happens. But you will find at the end of 6 busy months that what has been accomplished is unclear. Plan your change initiatives, apply timeframes and measurables, run them as projects and measure success My team of approx 1300 people across 12 countries generates billable utilisation in multiple hundreds of millions of USD. I am 50 years old.
