About Robert Pierce

After taking a break from work to provide home health care for my father, mother and disabled sister. I decided to enter the field of physical security. As a Reserve Deputy for Russell County Alabama, I enjoyed this type of work and the training that came with the position. I am currently the Reserve Coordinator for the Sheriff's Office and the South Regional Representative for the Alabama Sheriff's Reserve Association. I have 20 years of combat arms and logistics experience in the US Army. And 5 years as a reserve deputy. I begin to study Security/Protection Officer with the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO). I am now a Certified Protection Officer through the IFPO and I am currently working on Security Supervision and Management Certification through the IFPO. I expect to complete this certification by the end of May 2018. I currently hold the position as a security officer for DSI Security Services and work at the Cottonton, AL West Rock Paper Mill. In this position I am responsible for the vehicle traffic security and traffic flow that comes through my assigned gate. I interact with the truck drivers to gather their information and enter it into the computer system that tracks vehicles coming into and leaving the mill. I fill out duty logs and incident reports as necessary. I have an earned PhD. in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Security from Capella University.
