About Robert Plock

Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC) professional with over 7 years of hands-on experience in utility-scale Power Generation, Solar and Battery storage operations, coupled with more than a decade of leadership across military, corporate, and field-based environments. I specialize in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of power generation assets - executing critical tasks like remote monitoring, outage restoration, NERC compliance, and system troubleshooting. Currently, I work within a ROCC with 630 MW’s of solar generation and a 30 MW battery energy storage system. I’ve developed monitoring tools, led process improvements, commissioned new sites, and enhanced performance via training, data reporting, and SCADA/HMI interface collaboration. Prior to my current role, I have led teams driving improvements in Lock Out/Tag Out programs, standard operating procedures, and operator qualification training. My foundation in operations was built in the U.S. Marine Corps, where I served as a Quality Assurance Inspector and Ground Support Equipment Technician. I'm passionate about building high-performing teams, optimizing operational tools, and improving the efficiency and safety of renewable energy systems.
