About Robert Poenaru

I’ve studied Physics at the Faculty of Physics - University of Bucharest for 5 years, finishing with a Bachelor Thesis on "Differential Equations Which Arise in Physics" and then a Master's degree on the topic of “Wobbling Motion in Heavy Nuclei”.Currently, I am a Ph.D. student at the same university and a Research Assistant in the Department of Theoretical Physics (NIPNE-HH, Magurele) working on advanced topics mainly focusing on Nuclear Structure. Since October 2019, I’ve also become a member of the Department of Computational Physics and Information Theory, where I do software development for a cloud-based computing infrastructure.During my studies, I had also worked as an intern in various R&D institutes in Europe (CERN - Switzerland, JINR - Russia, FZJ - Germany) mainly in topics related to Physics (Nuclear Physics, High Energy Physics, Theoretical Physics), but also topics related to Computer Science (Programming, Performance Analysis in Supercomputing, etc.)
