About Robert Potter

As a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng/IntPE), I bring extensive experience in infrastructure construction management and project management across New Zealand, Dubai, and the Pacific Islands. Currently, I am leading the construction of the Maungawhau/Mt Eden station as part of the City Rail Link (CRL) project in Auckland, which is New Zealand's largest and most complex infrastructure project ever undertaken. In my construction experience, I have managed projects involving roads, runways, wharves, civil works, highways, and different construction contracts such as NZS 3910 and FIDIC. I excel in managing complex construction projects and building relationships creating success. Additionally, I have been involved in earthquake recovery efforts in New Zealand after both devastating earthquakes in Christchurch and Kaikoura, as well as the cyclone recovery in Tuvalu after cyclone Pam. My design experience includes working on bespoke architecturally award-winning projects. I believe that good design is essential for achieving successful outcomes and maximising the value of any project. Outside of work, I have travelled extensively to over 50 countries on all seven continents, and have lived in Singapore, several Pacific Island nations, the Middle East, and Canada. As a New Zealand Mines Rescue Service Brigadesman and a member of the Link Alliance Emergency Response Team, safety is always a top priority for me, and I focus on thorough planning to prevent incidents.
