About Robert Prator

As a Digital Advisor within Microsoft Public Sector Services, Robert Prator provides strategy consulting to CIOs, CTOs, and other Sr. business leaders. Enabling customers to achieve their most challenging business and organizational objectives while leveraging value from their current and future investments in information technology. Robert currently works with US Department of Defense customers to envision scenarios and outcomes that align with their mission objectives, and enables leaders to achieve these objectives by empowering their forces, optimizing operations, and transforming mission capabilities through digital transformation. Most recently, he has helped Joint commands (US Strategic Command and US Air Force Central Command) transform the way they conduct readiness and operational support for theater operations leveraging ITIL, Organizational change management, cloud technologies and models. Robert has an extensive technical background and over the past 25 years has worked with all branches of the military to achieve results through change and adoption of new technologies. He has held roles within Microsoft in the areas of architecture and planning and Enterprise Architecture services. Prior to joining Microsoft, Robert worked as the Technical Director for the US Army Reserve (USARC). Leading such efforts as the datacenter consolidation, Implementation of ITIL across the organization, and construction oversite and move of primary datacenter. Robert has held CIO, CTO, and Director of IT roles for companies in the Healthcare, Legal, and advertising verticals.
