Provide subject matter expertise in homeland defense, homeland security, Joint Capabilities Integration & Development System (JCIDS), critical infrastructure protection, and risk management. 22-year veteran of the U.S. Army with extensive experience in homeland security and defense. Served as the Deputy Director for the Interagency Directorate of both NORAD and the U.S. Northern Command leading a Crisis Action Team during numerous Presidential Emergency Declarations, including the 2003 Shuttle Columbia disaster, numerous hurricanes including Lili, Isadore, and Isabel, and DHS exercises (TOPOFFs I and II). Earned undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia and masters degrees from both Troy University (International Relations) and Colorado Technical University (Information Technology Management). Graduate of the United States JFK Special Warfare Center, the DoD Emergency Preparedness Course, and the National Defense University Joint Forces Staff College Homeland Security Planner’s Course.
