About Robert Prybysh

With over 20 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, controls, and environmentally related fields, I am the Chief Engineer for Arrow Engineering Inc. and Past President of the Northern Alberta Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). I am also a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), a registered Power Engineer with the Alberta Boiler Safety Association, a certified Safety Codes Officer with the Alberta Safety Codes Council, a certified High performing Building Design Professional, a multi-year board member the Rotary Club of Edmonton Glenora, Rotary District 5370, and have volunteered with a number of organizations in the Edmonton area, and am a Registered Professional Engineer in 7 jurisdictions across Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, and NWT/NU). I have a PhD in Civil Engineering with the Construction Engineering and Management group where I investigated aspects of potable water piping arrangements (often referred to as Integrated Piping, or Open Loop Piping) for heating and cooling in large buildings, including Multi-Unit residential and offices. Additionally I have both a Master’s of Science, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, and was the Engineered Air Fellow in HVAC Engineering at the University of Alberta. I also have an ongoing role as an Associate Lecturer with the University of Alberta focusing on Fluid Mechanics and Thermo-Fluid Design. Over the past decades, I have been involved in several thousand individual design projects, primarily involving HVAC and Plumbing, but also involving Storm Water Management, Municipal Servicing, Water / Energy Consumption, Industrial Safety, and Air Quality Management.
