About Robert Raffo

I bring more than three decades of public accounting experience to my role as managing partner for Hood & Strong LLP, one of California's most established and well-respected public accounting firms. I enjoy partnering with clients to define and create success based on their business and personal goals, and thinking through complex client issues to find the best solutions. I'm motivated by the opportunity I have to influence the growth and future of our Firm, our clients and our personnel. One of my most rewarding accomplishments has been the establishment of a formal niche within the Firm to focus on the accounting and business needs of the nonprofit community. Today, Hood & Strong is nationally recognized as a leader in providing professional services to the not-for-profit sector. My work with various mission-driven organizations give me an opportunity to help them achieve their organizational goals, and serve their stakeholders, making the impact of our work at Hood & Strong well beyond just "the numbers". In addition to serving our clients, I also place great importance on serving our communities through board and volunteer engagements. I have served as President, Treasurer and now as Audit Committee Chairperson of Services For Brain Injury, a nonprofit that helps brain injured victims regain skill and independence. I also serve on the Board and Audit Committee of Joint Venture Silicon Valley. I have also enjoyed participating in various ways over the years with The Leukemia Society's Light the Night, United Way, Ursuline Academy of Dallas, and the US Figure Skating Association. As Hood & Strong approaches its 100th anniversary, my focus is positioning the Firm for its second century in business, and ensuring that our valued clients continue to receive high-touch service, personal attention, and the support and services they need to achieve their financial goals.
