About Robert Rainone

I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and someone perpetually curious about the world. If there is a single word I could use to describe myself, it would be "versatile". My philosophy in life is “learn by doing” because I have found that for all the studying and learning one can do in the classroom, it will never go as far as an education based on experience. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty or put myself in new situations if it provides an environment to learn about myself and the world around me. I have a Bachelor’s degree in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine from the University of Oklahoma’s College of Arts and Sciences. I chose this major after several very rewarding and eye opening classes that showed me the world from a whole new perspective. From this experience I have come to appreciate the shades of grey and the nuance of history. History is often depicted as a series of events and political provisos that make up a long chain of moments. Yet, if we get beyond those dates, facts and figures, we find a very human story. It is more than the sum of the events of the past, but rather the study of the human experience.
