About Robert Rak

Executive Bio Leadership often means seeing the breadth of a problem before it even unfolds. This is what Bob Rak has brought to senior management positions in both not-for profit and for-profit organizations over the past 25 years. His shared passion for community, finance and technology has led him to successful executive roles within leading not-for-profit organizations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is currently Director of Finance and Administration for the Pittsburgh Opera, where he has completely revitalized the financial processes through a predictive cash flow forecasting system that he created to support the organization’s three-year proactive budgeting cycle. He also completely upgraded and improved the organization’s aging IT infrastructure, updating systems to meet state-of-the-art cyber security and PCI standards. Rak is an engaged member of his community, elected President of the Board of Directors for Leadership Washington County, leading the organization through their first strategic planning process in 20 years. Previous to his post as President, Rak served as Treasurer for LWC, as well as a 2016 graduate of the LWC program. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington County Drug & Alcohol Commission. He earned a dual MBA/MoIS degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.
