About Robert Raphael

I spent over ten years working at MetLife. During this period I participated in the major enterprise program to restructure MetLife for the future. This program included the establishment of a new fortune 500 firm, the simplification and consolidation of multiple subsidiary entities, and continues with major re-focus and re-engineering efforts. I led the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide workflow and database project (for which I received the General Counsel Award of Excellence), while representing the corporate governance organization on the project associated with the structural separation into two companies, and being directly accountable for subsidiary governance. I supported public company corporate governance, for which I was recognized as a trusted adviser for corporate governance expertise and for supervising presentations and logistics for Public Company Board meetings, which requires communicating clearly, concisely and persuasively with a variety of internal stakeholders, and working collaboratively to build effective partnerships. I was routinely chosen for additional special project assignments requiring governance expertise, multitasking skills, navigating ambiguity, multi-functional team representation, and executive ownership. I received my B.A. in History and Economics from Tufts University and my J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. I am a member in good standing of the New York and New Jersey Bar.
