About Robert Raymant

I am a Specialist Biomedical scientist in Histopathology at University Hospitals Birmingham. I began working for the NHS at South Warwick where I learned the key skills of Histopathology and its role in Cancer services. I secured a Trainee Biomedical Scientist role at Warwick where I developed my skills in Microtomy, tissue embedding, Special stains and Immunohistochemistry. I then moved to Musculoskeletal Pathology, a Cellular Pathology sub specialty, at UHB, before the service merged with the main UHB cellular Pathology department. I am expanding my knowledge of Histology and its applications in Bone and Soft Tissue Tumours. I am currently developing my skills and repertoire in Tissue dissection with osteoarticular and Skin specimens with a view to completing my Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection, within the next 18 months. I am driven, enjoy challenging myself and thinking logically to solve problems as a team or individually.
