Background
About Robert Riordan
I am a full time Lecturer at University of Wisconsin Green Bay where I teach AI, Algorithms, and Truth (AI Literacy and Ethics), Business Ethics, Introduction to Philosophy, Contemporary Philosophy, Environmental Ethics, and Contemporary Ethical Issues. In the past I have taught courses at University of Wisconsin Marshfield/Wood County, University of Wisconsin Marathon County, and Marquette University. I have taught courses including Foundations in Philosophy, Philosophy of Human Nature, Introduction to Ethics, Theory of Ethics, Biomedical Ethics, Logic, and Death and the Meaning of Life.In philosophy my primary interests are practical identity and ethics. I am currently completing my dissertation at Marquette University, with a focus on value theory. In particular, my dissertation focuses on meaningfulness and mortality. In my dissertation I employ the work of philosophers from both the analytic and continental traditions to analyze the connections between the meaningfulness we (hopefully) experience in our lives, morality and our own mortality.
