About Robert Rubin

Ever since I can remember, I loved tinkering with all things electronic-related. I distinctly recall my parents buying me a simple electronic toy where I was able to learn how capacitors, resistors, and transistors functioned. Years later, in high school in Toronto, I asked my principal how I can learn more about computers and how they work. This was around 1980 and my school didn't offer any classes, but I was able to sign up for a self-study "correspondence course" with the Board of Education. I still remember going downtown to a government office to take my final exam. This eventually led me down the path to pursue my degree in Computer Science. When I first began in Financial Services, I started in Wealth Management Operations, where I worked closely with the various department heads in helping them automate redundant tasks and streamline processes. It was then that I knew that I could leverage my analytical skills to solve all types of complex problems facing the various businesses, outside of strictly a technical coding role. With that, over the next 30+ years, I branched out and took on many different roles within wealth management, ranging from Finance, Risk, Marketing, and Product to name a few.In my most recent role as COO, my diverse background and experience, allowed me to leverage my analytical skill set in solving strategic and tactical problems.For a full version of my resume, please contact me at rrubin929@gmail.com.
