About Robert S. Potterton

I have 40 years of experience in hydrogeologic investigations, from water supply studies to soil and groundwater remediation. My experience includes investigatory and remedial efforts at numerous Superfund, RCRA corrective action and property transfer sites for major industrial clients under both state and federal regulatory programs. I've served on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Professionals Organization of Connecticut (EPOC) for over 12 years, and was its president from 2004 to 2006, and on numerous CTDEP advisory committees involving the Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) program and the Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs). In December 2009 I was appointed to the Board of Examiners of Licensed Environmental Professionals by Governor Jodi Rell. SELECTED LITIGATION SUPPORT: River Bend Associates vs. Zoning Commission of the Town of Simsbury, et al, 2002 - Provided court testimony as a fact witness regarding soil sampling plans and statistical analysis of residual pesticide impacted property. Glaser vs. Pullman & Comley, P.C, 2001 - 2003 - Served as an expert witness regarding the environmental assessment process, contaminant properties and assessment and remedial timeframes.
