About Robert Sansom

Bob began his career in the financial services industry with The Hartford Insurance Group in 1973. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1987, he was a partner in the Northern California investment management firm The Sullivan Group. He now serves as a First Vice President in the Fresno branch of Merrill Lynch. Mr. Sansom obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc, and he has also received the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation from the College for Financial Planning. Mr. Sansom is a 1971 graduate of Illinois State University. Bob has been active with the Girl Scouts of Central California South since 1989, where he previously served on the board of directors and was a council vice president. As a former member of the council’s finance committee, he was instrumental in helping the council obtain a grant from Merrill Lynch in order to support the Financial Literacy Program for girls between the ages of 8 and 15.
