Project Design Engineer with over 30 years experience in new product design, reverse engineering, development of consumer products, electro-mechanical packaging and rapid prototyping. Responsibilities have comprised of conceptual sketching, 3D CAD design, layout, solid modeling, and production drawings. My product background includes; injection molded plastic, rubber, sheet metal, metal stampings parts, die and metal casting. Other undertakings involved new and existing product design from concept through completion, working on multiple projects, project management schedules, forecasting, and business planning. Technical skills include thorough understanding of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Pro/Engineer, CADMAN, Microsoft Office, electro-mechanical packaging, plastic and machine part design, sheet metal, fabrication and assembly. Experience has led to knowledge of Lean Six Sigma with approaches using DMAIC and DMADV, Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles, and familiar with 5S process that focuses on organization and standardizing work procedures.
