As a Management and Marketing Executive with a proven record of success in directing Product Management and leading high performing cross-functional teams, I have learned that there is a difference between being a Manager and being a Leader. In my career, I have been hired as or promoted to Manager on multiple occasions. The transition from Manager to Leader developed over time. There are many attributes that differentiate a Leader from a Manager but chief among them for me are understanding that everyone is valuable, encouraging autonomy and innovation, being flexible and open to new ideas, recognizing contributions, and being accountable for the team's performance when things do not go as hoped or as planned. Everyone deserves and is entitled to be respected equally regardless of their title, their salary, or their level on the corporate ladder. Knowing and truly believing that everyone’s contributions matter for the global success of the organization has led to years of success in leading productive teams. Known as a resourceful problem solver, I have a history of improving communications, lowering costs, and increasing profit margins. I have been described as a respectful, collaborative, and empowering leader who has been recognized for consistently resolving internal and interdepartmental conflicts equitably and diplomatically.
