About Robert Schwab

I have always been fascinated with building things. As an adult, I have found no better professional field than software, with the satisfaction of creating and implementing solutions that help customers improve their business, process, and lives. Early in my career, working in local government as a manager and justice domain expert, I designed numerous applications, then left to found a software development company focused on justice and public safety solutions for local and state governments. Since then, I have continued to concentrate on public sector and public safety software development and professional services. The result, I have over 30 years of executive and senior management experience in public sector professional services, product management, sales, and customer success. Professionally, I love a challenge which is why my focus has been ERP class software products and complex government projects. I am especially effective at managing stakeholders, teams, and vendors, building and managing customer relationships, implementing process changes to improve business operations, and resolving issues by applying my experience and problem-solving skills to ambiguous and difficult situations. Key to success has been my ability to relate to all audiences, from C-level to end user, effectively understanding and bridging the business and technical worlds. Accomplished in providing strategic vision, directing business operations, and leading teams, I am skilled at managing the full life cycle (including the good, the bad and the difficult) of Enterprise and SaaS software development and implementation projects from product development to the sales/contract negotiation process, through implementation, renewal and product usage/revenue growth. I enjoy collaborating with smart driven people while learning new perspectives from others in the field. I still have a start-up, roll up my sleeves, do what is necessary mentality. A San Francisco Bay Area resident, I enjoy taking advantage of our diversity, sights, and attractions, driving along the coast, and rooting for the Giants and 49ers.
