About Robert Singleton

I have spent most of my life around computers and began learning how to program at an early age. I love technology whether it be ancient building practices or how silicone is structured to form an integrated circuit and I always look forward to seeing what new technologies are developed."Computers fear me!"- A phrase I coined when prompted with "How did you do that?". My father laughs everytime he asks how to get his computer to perform a task or when he wants me to tell him how something does or could work. The truth is technology just comes naturally to me and I have been blessed with a personality that allows me to communicate complex issues in plain and sometimes humorous ways. My greatest strength is an ability to solve puzzles and over the years I have built a great network of friends and colleagues that I can turn to as a resource for ideas and knowledge. I see each puzzle as a learning opportunity and my favorite are those I have no experience with. For the past 8 or so years, I have put my puzzle solving and programming skills to use, designing, installing, and programming automated audio and video solutions for corporate and educational entities. Each project was a new puzzle to solve and provided opportunities for learning exciting new systems and programming tools like Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, BSS and more. Before jumping headfirst into the AV world, I spent years as a Technology Specialist, Linux Systems Admin, Network Admin, Web Developer, and as a partner in a DataCenter venture for companies like MassMutual, HostGator and Alpha Red.
