About Robert Skopal

I was always drawn to technologies and innovations for as long as I can remember. I can still remember my first program that I created at elementary school which was a "click & shoot" game using Flash MX :) Since programming was my hobby and I always liked math I got my Master's degree at Faculty Of Electrical Engineering And Computer Science in Computational Mathematics. During my studies I started to work at IT4Innovations using SALOMON - the 40th most powerful supercomputer at the world (at that time). I was lucky enough to work with some of the lead experts in the field while exploring beauty of data science, machine learning, parallel algorithms and other interesting areas. Following my passion for new technologies, I joined CGI's Emerging Technologies department as a developer, working on a range of projects. Over two years, I advanced to leading a small team of developers, analysts, and consultants focused on Robotic Process Automation and chatbots. I continue to contribute as a developer on various projects, primarily in data/system integrations and backend systems. With extensive development experience, I now primarily work as a Cloud Architect and developer in Microsoft Azure.
