About Robert Smedsrud

I am a senior Management, Biology student at Luther College. I have worked in customer service for eight years: 1) Three years employed at Fareway Stores Inc- While working at Fareway, I unloaded the morning truck before going to classes and I often worked evenings after sports practices. I assisted people in find produce and I bagged and carried their groceries out to their vehicles. 2) Three years working for Pulpit Rock Campground - Working at Pulpit Rock I assisted people with parking their trailers, preforming monetary transactions, and splitting and stacking firewood for the city of Decorah. 3) One summer working for Gemini Inc- At Gemini I work in quality control and shipping where I primarily checked the metal letters and signs for flaws before sending them to shipping. I also was trained in bead blasting, tapping letters for mounting, and welding repairing imperfections. 4) Three years at the Student Admissions Center at Luther College - While studying at Luther College, I have been working in the Admissions Department giving tours to prospective students and answering their question about life at Luther. Because I am a student-athlete at Luther, I often help with recruiting athletes to sports teams and introducing them to their respective Coaches. 5) One year (May 2020) at Toppling Goliath Brewing Company - I currently work at Toppling Goliath where I primarily bar back and work in the hospitality section of the Brewery. On a daily basis I am talking to customers and telling them about how we brew the beers, how the different beers get their flavors, and marketing the company to the public through face to face interactions. I am experience in public speaking, using Excel Spreadsheets, and other computer programs. I have four years of Spanish background and have spent a month traveling Spain and Morocco while studying at Luther College.
