About Robert Strauss
I am a molecular oncologist with a strong gene therapy background. I have 18 years of experience with molecular and cellular biology, virology, as well as with preclinical research (spanning oncology and immunology). My passion is to decipher the complexity of cancer and its diverse ways of response to currently available treatment with a focus on cell cycle and DNA damage signaling. To achieve this, I constantly push the limits of existing methods, model systems and equipment in order to gain novel insights. I thereby always keep in mind the possibility to translate my research into novel ways to treat cancer.
