My goal is to extend the Supply Chain and Operations skill set that I have developed at Rohm and Haas, Dow and Houghton into new diverse areas or industries. Prior industries and technologies served include acrylic monomers and polymers; metal working fluids and allied chemistries, polyurethane foam for mattresses, etc, specialty silicones for medical and aerospace, and specialty battery storage for defense, and industrial storage. • Proven ability to take Supply Chain and Manufacturing concepts and theory and bring them into real world situations to deliver real world values in an operating or business environment. • Implemented enterprise-wide planning systems in an MRP-II business improvement effort, developed inventory cycle analysis tools, employed Theory of Constraints, Total Cycle Time, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance methods to increase production/sales and to improve inventory turns. • Responsible for a multi-billion dollar global supply chain with very high service requirements, deploying an active make/buy/sell process to deliver lowest cash delivered cost and minimize capital expenses using a global network of purchases and exchanges. The most critical of these resulted in a 10 year,$1 billion dollar purchase agreement whose contract formation and negotiation I lead. • Managed global Capacity Roadmap process for a specialty polymers business balancing local commercial needs with global capital constraints and innovative logistics capabilities.
