Fifteen years of extensive experience in clinical psychiatric nursing within acute, child and correctional settings; program development within psychiatric services, project management, quality improvement, strategic planning, and accreditation. · Partnerships/Stakeholder Relationships: My career has involved cultivating strong relationships between partner organizations, such as Accreditation Canada. I have co-ledplanning and engagement with key partners with respect to the development of psychiatric and addiction services within First Nations communities. · Project Management: I was a lead involved in the Electronic Communication Project: Patients as Partners, which explored the use of electronic communication to improve treatment compliance for forensic psychiatric patients, co-facilitated the process of value stream mapping, created the consumer data research tool, and analyzed the data which influenced the project’s final recommendations to the senior management team. · Educational Strategic Development: I was responsible for the development of an educational strategy focused for multiple sites and multiple disciplines specialties. The strategy supported the delivery of education to front line staff and physician groups by senior leadership and our clinical leaders. A current state assessment of their respective programs was applied to identify specialized and focused learning needs. · Leadership: I bring strong leadership and management competencies utilizing a collaborative team approach to achieve organizational goals. These skills have been developed through engaging with cross-functional teams to conduct feasibility studies which evaluate future quality improvement projects to promote patient safety and quality of care. My superior leadership skills have resulted in the successful strategic co-designing and implementation of innovative initiatives that align with agency goals.
