About Robert Tofe

At 14, Robert started working part-time at CeraMed Dental in the summers and when he was not in sports. After college, Robert continued working there until he was age 26. Being exposed to all facets of the business including manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory, research and development, and sales and marketing. In 2001, Dentsply acquired CeraMed Dental. Robert stayed on with Dentsply as a Product Manager for two years. Leaving in 2003 to join CeraPedics as its fourth employee. Over the next six years, Robert enhanced his understanding of biologic and medical devices products, learned how to manage people, successfully raised capital from individuals in two separate raises, and helped secure $12 million of venture capital. Just as valuable as the experience gained from working CeraMed and CeraPedics, Robert learned integrity, the power of hard work, and perseverance from his father. In 2006, Robert began working on the idea of utilizing the placenta and founded Snoasis Medical the following year. In 2008, Snoasis Medical, partnered with a small placental tissue processor currently known as MiMedx (Marietta, GA). Robert played an active role in the development of Snoasis Medical’s innovative placental allograft products, which includes being named as an inventor in over 50 issued and pending US and international filings. In 2014, Robert expanded Snoasis Medical’s regenerative products portfolio when it started marketing Maxxeus, an extensive line of allograft bone products, processed by Community Tissue Services (Dayton, OH). Robert has remarkable tenacity and persistence, and is confident that Snoasis Medical is well positioned to fulfill its mission to become the number one dental regenerative products company in the U.S. and share the benefits of our technology and products with the world.
