About Robert Totten

Bob Totten leads technical skill development for the Intelligence & Security (I&S) sector of BAE Systems, Inc. I&S is comprised of employees across the United States and abroad with annual revenue of $1.7 billion. The business provides large-scale systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains for the U.S. Department of Defense, intelligence community, federal civilian agencies, and troops deployed around the world. Bob manages I&S University (I & SU), a sector-wide initiative that provides employees free access to a comprehensive catalog of specialized technical courses and certification training. Many I & SU courses are developed in-house by BAE Systems employees who are experts in their field. Many other courses are developed by leading vendors we partner with, integrated with company experience, and taught by our Subject Matter experts. During his 18 years at BAE Systems, Bob has supported the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense (DoD) as a Software Engineer, Program Manager, and Program Director. He is also a 10-year U.S. Army veteran, where he served as a Russian linguist and later led a Fort Meade Language Training program that was recognized as the top language-training program across the DoD. A self-professed continuous learner, Bob is a Certified Project Management Professional, Oracle Certified Java Developer, and SAFe Agilist. In his spare time, Bob can be found building applications in AWS Cloud, or studying his favorite training app, YouTube.
