About Robert Tye

Starting my career in the industrial laundry sector in 1991 as a Laundry Operative for a small family-run business, I have progressed through numerous roles, including Laundry Driver, Supervisor, Manager, Operations Manager, Commercial Project Manager, Senior Laundry Software Project Manager, International Sales Manager, and Chief Operations Officer. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, I am now excited to bring my expertise to ABS as the Group Marketing Director, where I focus on promoting our innovative software solutions globally. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of visiting hundreds of laundries around the world, from small owner-operated businesses to large-scale facilities processing thousands of orders each day. The dynamic nature of the industrial laundry industry, with its continual advancements in machinery, methods, and processes, never ceases to inspire me. I find immense satisfaction in delivering software solutions that enhance laundry operations and seeing the tangible benefits these innovations bring. In 2022, I was honored to join the board of the UK Textile Service Association for a two-year term, where I enjoyed supporting and contributing to the growth of the UK industrial laundry sector.
