About Robert W Baran

My experience in HEOR includes fourteen years at large and small PHARMA organizations. I have numerous successes in those matrix environments, providing pre- and post- marketing HEOR leadership for multiple therapeutic areas, including Oncology, HCV, HIV, Diabetes, Endocrine, Pain, GI, CNS, and Geriatrics. I have functioned as lead for a US/Global HEOR team with direct reports and departmental budget responsibility, lead for selected therapeutic areas, and also contributed leadership to integrated US/Global teams composed of HEOR, Medical, Clinical, Commercial, and Legal interests. An extensive research/publication history is well detailed in my CV. I have demonstrated HEOR research expertise in patient reported outcomes (PRO), retrospective claims, clinical trial, observational trial, pharmacoeconomic modeling, and chart review methodologies. Prior to PHARMA, I held a faculty/staff HEOR position at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia for eight years, providing consultation with PHARMA and contributing ‘US managed healthcare’ content to both BS and PharmD curricula. My healthcare experience while in academia included clinical pharmacist roles at the Fox Chase Cancer Center campus, based in Philadelphia, PA. I
