I'm a dedicated administrative professional looking to expand my horizons and begin a new career in a new location. I’m the person who comes into work every day 10 or 15 minutes early, ready to hit the ground running. I value hard work, accountability, and never stopping until you've accomplished what you set out to do. And I enjoy learning from others and seeing what they can bring to the table. I have taken pride in the challenge of helping incarcerated individuals achieve their personal goals upon their release, whether it’s been obtaining housing, finding a job, or kicking an addiction to the curb. I find my motivation in a story I call “The Starfish Story.” A young man was walking on the beach one day, and noticed that the sand was littered with hundreds and hundreds of starfish. The man noticed an older man picking up the starfish and tossing them back into the sea. The young man asks “why are you taking the time to throw the starfish back into the sea? Most of them are going to wind up back on the beach.” To which the older man replied “I know that, but if I can help just ONE reach the ocean, I will have done my job.” In other words, if I can help just one person reach what they've aspired to, I will have succeeded. When I’m not at work, you can probably find me jogging or reading whatever I can get my hands on. I thrive on setting goals for myself when I’m running, such as maintaining a certain pace, or finishing a race under a certain time.
