About Robert Warren

I am currently the Senior Vice President and Head of FHA Underwriting for Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, LLC, the largest multifamily lender in the U.S. I have over 27 years’ experience in the industry and since 1995 have been involved in excess of $25.5 billion of closed HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Conventional loans as an Analyst, Originator or Chief Underwriter. In 2012, I was involved in the financing of Coop City, at $621.5 million, the largest FHA loan ever closed. Additionally, I served as Chief Underwriter for Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital from 2009-2016. I have written articles for regional publications and have been a speaker or moderator at various industry conferences throughout my career. I currently serve as the immediate Past President of Southeast Mortgage Advisory Council (SMAC), a HUD Multifamily lender group that works with HUD offices throughout the Southeast to improve the process of the Multifamily HUD Programs. I am a past Chair of the MBA FHA Insured Projects Committee and Vice Chair of the MBA Multifamily Council and am actively involved with the MBA in working with HUD to improve the FHA Insured Programs. I received my Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 1998.
