As a Senior Level Team Lead/Project Manager for the last 12 years, I've worked in every facet of retail. Office Supply, Drug, Automotive, Grocery, Department store, Home Improvement, and of course the one off assignments. From scratch new store openings, store closings, remodels in every category of retail, and spot resets/cut ins; its is easier to say when it comes to retail I have only avoided greeting cards and demonstrations. While I am completely comfortable with the most basic fixture building to laying out an entire new Dollar General or Office Depot Store of the Future, setting 4 feet or 40 feet of pegged product in Walgreen's, or setting 44 feet of free form upscale business products in Staples. My true passion is Client excellence, and new hire training. Bringing people into the company the right way. Not just the best practices for the project at hand for everyone involved, but best company practices and best client/rep daily practices and building those relationships. Specialties:* Training/new hire development: I thrive on being given the opportunity to take a new employee and watch them grow. Nothing is more satisfying than watching my student surpass the teacher.* Client Development: Establishing, one retail door at a time, a reputation of trust, diligence and success. Word of mouth throughout even the largest retailer is critical to set yourself apart.* Team Building and Development: When things align and I am given the task of going into a market to develop a new merchandising team I am in my element. Passing along the traditions, as well as the company specific expectations. Getting people off on the right foot and maximizing the open mind while they are fresh.* Communication: I believe strongly in the power of "WHY?" If I can empower each rep or client "why" we need to do things the way I am directing, we all win. One can never over communicate Retail is what I know.
