Academic Background:I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with a minor in music, and with carefully chosen electives to maximize exposure to Cybersecurity Operations including courses such as: Cyber Defense, Cyber Offense, Wireless and Mobile Security and Software Reverse Engineering. Undergraduate experience:* Developed a Python keylogger with creative evasion techniques to avoid dynamic analysis* Explored living off the land techniques in Linux lab environment* Applied buffer overflow techniques to gain remote execution to web server in lab environment* Learned x86 and x64 reverse engineering through reverse engineering coursework / CTFs* Gained proficiency in disassemblers like Ida Pro, Binary Ninja, and Ghidra through hands-on lab experiences* Crafted snort rules for network signature-based detection during hands-on coursework* Created basic custom post-exploitation Metasploit module for Windows* Attributed a malicious binary to a threat actor group in lab scenario using mitre framework* Created a basic shell code encoder to trick static analysis * Software testing in JUnitWork experience:* Writing automations and enrichments to improve SOC efficiency (SOAR) Noteworthy Engagements:* Participated as a Red Team Volunteer for the Department of Energy Cyberforce Challenge* Participated in the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition* One of FITSEC’s first members, Florida Tech’s competitive cybersecurity team.
