About Robert Wilson
Prior to transitioning to full-time faculty, I served as a Social Studies Teacher at Silsbee High School, focusing on dual credit students. Originally from Florida, and long before making the switch to teaching, I was an OTR Truck Driver, driving for KLLM until 2012. In 2014, I became a nontraditional student, going back to earn my bachelors in political science from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM, and then continued on to my masters degree in political science at Texas State University in San Marcos, Tx. I might be the only graduate student in Texas State University’s history to have driven a belly dump truck and trailer onto Bobcat field. When I am not working, lecturing, or reading, I fill my time by being an avid gamer, training my 2-year-old Akita, Nola, and am trying to get back into CrossFit.
