Background
About Robert Yates
I am currently a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and owner/CEO at Serenity Psychological Services and Consulting LLC in Hays, Kansas. Professionally I am interested in substance use treatment, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. I believe that mental health is a complex interaction of spiritual, psychological, biological, social, and genetic factors. Further, I believe that mental health treatment should attempt to address all of these factors in order to enable an individual to reach their full potential. I am also interested in research related to substance use, neurocognition, and metacognition that is aimed at developing new psychological interventions and policies to advance the field of mental health. In my spare time I like to read, play guitar, fish, and play golf. I am also a fan of horror movies and I collect movies from the 1950s through the 1990s.
