About Roberta Allaix

I graduated in Political Science in Italy and spent several months abroad (in Spain and Ireland) while studying. My first job experience was at illycaffé, recognized among the most ethical companies in the world. I then worked in London, U.K, first at the Italian Consulate, then in the fashion industry at Vivienne Westwood, lead by Dame Westwood, an advocate of sustainability, fighting for climate change and many other causes. I eventually moved back to Italy and worked for 7ys in Group Audit of Assicurazioni Generali SpA, where in the last years I focused my activities on supporting the definition and implementation of the HR Strategy within the Group Audit global department of Generali. I was appointed as DEI Ambassador for my Department and designed and carried out the first DEI project of the Group Audit function, impacting almost 400 auditors worldwide. I then moved to Group HR & Organization, first in the Organization team, to broaden my knowledge of the governance of the Group. Moreover, during this experience I did also 2 short assignments in the People Care team of Head Office: in the first one I designed and helped to develop the first strategy on psychological wellbeing for the Head Office population; in the second one I co-designed and implemented a program to improve cross-functional hiring within Head Office and the Group. Finally I joined the Group Leadership Development team to further develop my capabilities and interest on People strategy matters. Here, we design and implement development programs for young talents, senior managers and the 200 Leaders of the Group. Studying, working and travelling in different countries/companies has helped me gain a wide cross-cultural understanding of business environments and allowed me to further improve on my natural ability to interact with others, with the aim to develop the leaders of the future and become a true advocate of inclusion and of psychological wellbeing in the workplace
