About Roberta Angenent

I have been an Executive Assistant working for Senior Executive Service (SES) officers in the Commonwealth Government for over 12 years. Passionate about my role, I note that “senior executives need to be organised so they can focus attention on their core responsibilities, and an Executive Assistant is an indispensable element of an organised senior executive”. This passion and my ability to provide exceptional support to senior executives was formally recognised in 2007, when I was awarded Executive Assistant of the Year. I believe that being an effective Executive Assistant involves far more than answering phones and managing a diary, but often, knowing what all those other important things are, and how to do them effectively, can be an issue. “Running the office of a senior executive means an Executive Assistant needs to be organised. That means having structure, good processes, professionalism and a hand-in-glove working relationship”. In 2013, I started my own consulting firm, ‘Organised Professional’. Aimed at senior executives and their assistants, my firm provides a professional consultancy service aimed at enhancing the executive-assistant working relationship to create a truly ‘Organised Professional’. This involves helping both the executive and the executive assistant to be more organised, both individually and together.
