Background

About Roberta Franchi

I graduated as Space Engineer in 2006 and I have more than fourteen years’ experience in aerospace industry. I joined the VEGA (advanced generation European carrier rocket) Project team during the phase C and I have worked on it since then. I have a solid background in space transportation projects since I worked on the qualification phase of the VEGA Launcher, then on the design optimization and cost reduction and, finally, on the production and integration activities of the flight models. I have had the chance to cover different roles over the years, working as System Engineer, Product Technical Manager and AIT Engineer. I acquired a deep knowledge of the design and management rules, the quality and configuration standards and of the industrial processes. I learnt to manage complex situations, working in a team and in a multidisciplinary and international environment. In 2017, I joined the Operational Department as Responsible of VEGA Family Launch Vehicle AIT technologies and processes at the CSG (Centre Spatial Guyanais). In 2021, I joined Arianespace Department of Payload environment and structures. In my free time, I love to travel, cook and play with my two kids.
