About Robertas Mockus

I am retired officer (major, OF-3) with a university background (Kaunas University of Technology, master degree in IT). I have more than 24 year experience in military service within LTAF, being responsible for Automated Data Processing (ADP) systems at Airspace Control Centre. I followed from the beginner as ADP system administrator of military systems (based on OS Solaris 10/11, Linux, Windows) and grew up to Head of ADP and Comms section - I led the group of 20-25 people. During the service I got a lot of experience in UNIX-based system administration (Oracle Solaris 10/11), systems' secured interconnections (involving Cisco, Palo Auto, HPE equipment), learned a lot in scripting languages (such as Bash, Python etc.), had a relations with PHP/CSS programming as a beginner. Also I have an experience with Oracle DB, PostgresSQL DBMS. Also I focused a lot on security assessment, evaluation, threat evaluation of the military ADP system - as a primary ADP system administrator I was responsible to prepare/complete systems' security accreditation documents. Also I have a good level of knowledge in Military Tactical Data Links (TDL) area (deal with Link1, Link16 etc.). And never stopped improving my knowledge in related fields - I have completed plenty of courses (live and online). I have work experience in the international environment, participating in international projects' managing, also I was a responsible person for LTU AirForce in dealing with NATO entities (NCIA, NSPI etc.) as a representative in NATO committees. I have good knowledge of English and Russian (like native speaker) languages; also German as a beginner. Now I am very happy being in the Datagroup Ops GmbH company; I work in a team of wonderful and proficient people. I do my best bringing all my efforts and knowledge to the common results / achievements!
